Privacy Policy

Short version: we keep what we need to run your account and nothing else. We don’t sell data, we don’t run ads, and card details never touch our servers.

What we store

• Your email (and your name and photo if you sign in with Google), to sign you in.
• Your designs: parts you save while signed in (part type, sizes, options and a small thumbnail).
• Your exports: which designs you’ve exported, so re-downloads stay free.
• Your purchases: what you bought, when, the amount, and your credit history.
• Your setup: the answers from the first-run questions (what you make, your printer’s bed size, your plug size, whether you sell frags) and the design you were working on when you signed in, so it’s there on every device.
• Waitlists: your email and the part you voted for, if you vote for the next part; your email, if you join the launch list; and your email and whether you want to hire a printing partner or become one, if you join that list (on the homepage or in the app). We use it to email you about that and nothing else.

What stays in your browser

Your fit profile, theme, the design you’re working on, the parts you save while signed out and the email you last typed into the sign-in form (so an expired link can be resent in one tap) live in your browser’s storage. We never see them unless you sign in: then your printer, plug size and current design are copied to your account, and you can choose to sync your saved parts.

Payments

Stripe handles every payment. Your card number goes straight to Stripe; we only get a record that you paid.

Cookies and analytics

ReefCAD needs one cookie: your sign-in session. While we’re in preview, the password page sets one more so you stay unlocked. Your cookie choice is kept in your browser’s storage.

We also use Google Analytics to see which pages and parts people use, so we know what to build next. It sets two cookies (_ga and _ga_…) that can last up to two years. Google gets:

• the pages you view, without most of the address after the “?” (only campaign tags stay), and the site that sent you here;
• your rough location, device and browser, which Google works out from your connection;
• what you do on ReefCAD: which part you open, when you change a setting, export a file, see the plans, start checkout, buy, sign up or sign in.

Google doesn’t get your email, your account or your design’s dimensions. Google signals and ad personalization are switched off. Analytics data is kept for a limited time and then deleted automatically.

Your choice: if you’re in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, Google Analytics stays off until you accept. Anyone can change their mind with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we treat that as “no” and never run Google Analytics. You can also use Google’s opt-out add-on.

Who helps us run ReefCAD

Stripe (payments), Resend (sign-in and welcome emails), Google (analytics, as above, and sign-in if you choose Google), and our hosting and database providers. They process data only to provide their service to us.

Your choices

• Delete your account from the account menu in the app. That removes your account, saved designs, setup answers, exports and credit history. We keep one scrambled code made from your email address, which can’t be turned back into the address, only so the free signup credits go to each email once. Stripe keeps its payment records as the law requires.
