Who we are

ReefCAD is run by AW Ventures LLC (“we”, “us”). By using ReefCAD you agree to these terms. Questions? Email hello@reefcad.com.

What ReefCAD does

ReefCAD turns the sizes and options you pick into 3D-printable files (STL and 3MF). Designing, the 3D preview, share links and the Fit-Test Coupon are free. Exporting other parts uses credits or a plan.

Your account

• You sign in with an email link or Google. Keep access to that email safe: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
• New accounts get 2 free credits once the email address is confirmed, once per email address.
• You can delete your account anytime from the account menu in the app.

Credits and plans

• Credits come in packs and never expire. One credit buys one new design. Re-downloading a design you own, in either format, is always free.
• Unlimited is billed monthly until you cancel. Cancel anytime; it keeps working until the end of the month you paid for.
• Lifetime is one payment for every new design, for as long as ReefCAD runs.
• Unlimited and Lifetime are for makers, not file farms: up to 50 new designs per 24 hours.
• Prices can change. A change never touches credits or plans you already bought.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. See the refund policy.

The file license

Files are for your personal use. Selling the parts you print is fine; sharing or reselling the files is not.

• Print as many copies as you like, for yourself or your reef club.
• Selling printed parts (at a frag swap, online, anywhere) is allowed.
• Redistributing, uploading or reselling the STL/3MF files is not.

Printing is on you

ReefCAD generates parts from the numbers you choose. Check the fit, the material and the print before anything goes in your tank. Use a material that suits saltwater (we recommend PETG or ASA, not PLA). We aren’t responsible for failed prints, parts that break, or what happens to livestock, equipment or tanks.

Fair play

• Don’t try to break, overload or get around the paywall, and don’t scrape or mass-export.
• Don’t resell or share the files themselves (selling printed parts is fine).
• We can suspend accounts that do these things.

No warranty

ReefCAD is provided “as is”. We work hard to make every file watertight and every hole fit, but we can’t promise the service will always be available or error-free. As far as the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
