Aquarium probe holder STL generator

Controllers come with probes and no good place to put them. Build a holder hole by hole: a pH probe, a temperature probe, two airline tubes, whatever your sump needs, in the order you want.

A 3D-printed aqua probe holder with round sleeves

How it works

Your numbers, not ours.

Every sleeve has a cable slot running to the front, so a probe drops in without unplugging it. Slots stop at three quarters of the hole, so nothing slips out sideways.

What you can tweak

  • Add, resize, reorder or remove holes (up to 12)
  • Presets: pH/ORP 12 mm, temperature 6 mm, airline 4.8 mm, ¼″ dosing line 6.4 mm
  • Any custom size for everything else
  • Cable slots and support gussets
  • Rim hanger, magnet back plate, suction cups or none

Print tips

Print it right the first time.

  1. Measure each probe body

Probe and tubing sizes vary by brand more than plugs do. Measure the body where it sits in the holder with calipers and type that size in.

  2. Measure your glass

The rim hanger asks for the glass thickness (10 mm to start) and how far below the rim the shelf should sit. Measure both before you print.

  3. ASA for sumps under lights

A holder that sits in a sump or under strong lights does well in ASA, which handles UV and heat. PETG is fine everywhere else.

FAQ

Probe Holder questions.

pH/ORP probe 12 mm, temperature probe 6 mm, airline/dosing tube 4.8 mm and ¼″ dosing line 6.4 mm. Brands differ more than plugs do, so check yours with calipers and edit the preset.

Yes. Add holes one at a time from any preset or a custom size, then move them left or right.

No, not by default: the outer lip reaches down to the bed so the holder prints without supports.

Stop buying racks that almost fit.
