Reef water test station STL generator
Testing goes faster when everything has a place. Build one tray for your whole kit: pocket meters stand up with the display facing you, and vials, test tubes, dropper bottles, syringes and sample cups each drop into a hole sized for them, so nothing tips, rolls off or gets mixed up.

How it works
Your numbers, not ours.
Pick holes from a list of common test-kit sizes or type your own, then add meter docks, a slot for reagent packets and color cards, or a tilted cradle for a refractometer or a phone running a timer. The station sizes itself around what you put on it and checks it against your printer’s bed.
What you can tweak
- Up to 12 holes, 4–80 mm each, in one row or two staggered rows
- Presets for Hanna Checker vials (18.8 mm), Red Sea vials (23.5 mm) and API test tubes (14 mm)
- Hole depth 8–80 mm, with a top chamfer, a closed floor and drain holes
- 0–6 meter docks, sized from your meter, with a thumb notch
- Card or packet slot up to 150 mm wide
- Cradle with a 45–80° back-rest for a refractometer or phone
- Drip grooves, rubber-foot recesses, magnet pockets, wall-mount keyholes
Print tips
Print it right the first time.
Measure your kit with calipers
Vials, tubes and bottles vary by brand. Measure each one where it sits in the hole and type that size in. For a pocket meter, measure across the display and front to back at the widest part of the body.
Holes vs. pockets
Holes add your fit profile’s hole offset, so a vial drops in. Meter pockets and the card slot add your lid clearance on each side, like a friction-fit lid. Print the Fit-Test Coupon once and both are dialed in.
PETG or ASA, printed flat
The station sits next to saltwater and wet vials, so print it in PETG, or ASA under strong lights. It prints flat on the bed, and the cradle needs no supports.
FAQ
Water Test Station questions.
Every hole and pocket is adjustable. Measure each vial, tube or bottle with calipers and type the size in (4 to 80 mm), and set the meter width and thickness from your own meter. The presets for Hanna Checker vials, Red Sea vials and API test tubes are starting points; check them against yours too.
Pocket meters like the Hanna Checker. The docks start at 60 × 36 mm, measured across the widest part of the body, and you can change both sizes for other meters.
PETG for most setups, or ASA if it sits under strong lights or in a warm sump cabinet. It prints flat on the bed with no supports.
Yes. Turn on the wall-mount keyholes: the back wall grows taller for keyhole slots, and the station hangs on screws in the cabinet wall. Magnet pockets and rubber-foot recesses are there for a shelf or a desk.
